Leadership
OCSHP offers numerous leadership opportunities for members who wish to take an active role in shaping the future of health-system pharmacy. Serving on the Board of Directors or participating in one of our committees allows members to develop leadership skills, collaborate with peers, and influence key initiatives within the organization. Board members help guide strategic priorities, plan educational and networking events, and advocate for policies that advance the profession. These roles not only foster professional growth but also provide a platform to make a lasting impact on the pharmacy community across Orange County.
Board members are elected for one to two-year terms depending on the position. For more information, please speak to any current board members.

Jennie Ung, Pharm.D., APh, BCSCP
President
Dr. Jennie Ung earned her Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from the University of Southern California and completed a PGY-1 General Practice Residency at LAC/USC Medical Center. With over 25 years of experience, she holds Advanced Practice Pharmacist (APh) licensure and is board-certified in Sterile Compounding. Her leadership roles have spanned Residency Program Director (RPD), Clinical Manager, Pharmacist-in-Charge, Clinical Consultant, and Pharmacy Services Chief, where she has led initiatives to optimize pharmacy operations, improve medication safety, and elevate patient care standards.
Since joining UCI Health in 2022, Dr. Ung has focused on advancing pharmacy residency training and education as Residency Program Director and a Hospital Medicine Pharmacist. She is dedicated to shaping pharmacy residents and students into professionals capable of delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care. Dr. Ung emphasizes mentorship and collaboration, recognizing the importance of both trainee development and preceptor dedication in maintaining the success and prominence of UCI Health’s residency program.
Neeloufar Fakourfar, Pharm.D., APh, BCACP
Immediate Past President
Dr. Neeloufar Fakourfar is the current President of the Orange County chapter of CSHP and a Clinical Assistant Professor at Chapman University School of Pharmacy, where she teaches a skills class for P1 students and serves as a preceptor for numerous APPE students. She practices as an ambulatory care pharmacist at Providence, where she is dedicated to improving patient care and outcomes. Dr. Fakourfar is passionate about mentoring students, helping them explore their interests within the pharmacy field, and advocating for the growth of the profession. Her research interests include chronic disease management, with a focus on diabetes, medication adherence, wellness, and professional development. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys practicing yoga, savoring good food, laughing with friends, and spending quality time with her family—especially her dog.
Maggie Van, Pharm.D.
President-Elect & Treasurer
Dr. Maggie Van earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the USC Alfred E. Mann School of Pharmacy while completing her pharmacy internship at Adventist Health White Memorial. She subsequently completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at UCI Health, where she cultivated interests in healthcare administration, critical care, infectious diseases, and academia. Dr. Van is passionate about leveraging her clinical and operational experiences to develop innovative strategies that ensure compliance, optimize savings, and expand patient access as 340B Program Manager at UCI Health.
As a practitioner, she is also deeply committed to mentorship and leadership development. Outside of work, she enjoys photography, hiking, and exploring new culinary experiences.
Gloria Huh, Pharm.D., APh, BCPS, BCACP
Secretary
Dr. Gloria Huh graduated from Nova Southeastern University College of Pharmacy before completing her PGY1 in Acute Care at Loma Linda University and her PGY2 in Transitions of Care at Palomar Health which also included Ambulatory Care components. She developed a strong passion for Ambulatory Care and Care Transitions through her residency training and early clinical experiences. Gloria has extensive expertise in managing chronic and specialty disease states such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, osteoporosis, anticoagulation, weight management, hepatitis C, oncology, movement disorders, and migraines. Her leadership background includes serving as a Transitions of Care Pharmacy Supervisor and nine years as a Pharmacy Manager for Ambulatory Care Services, where she focused on patient-centered care and team development. She currently serves as the Secretary for OCSHP and is committed to advancing the profession through leadership and service.
Michael Beshir, Pharm.D.
Social Media & Communications Chair
Dr. Michael Beshir is a dedicated clinician and educator with nearly a decade of inpatient experience. He holds a background in Management Science and Economics and earned his PharmD from Midwestern University-Chicago in 2015. After completing PGY1 residency training at Rush University Medical Center, he served as Clinical Coordinator, specializing in critical care, leading clinical services, and mentoring pharmacy students. His penchant for formulary management and drug policy led him to later pursue PGY2 residency training in Drug Information at Kaiser Permanente in 2020. He returned to inpatient practice serving at PIH Health and Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. In March 2024, Dr. Beshir joined the Marshall B. Ketchum University College of Pharmacy where he currently serves as a faculty member in the Department of Pharmacy Practice.
Vian Khoury, Pharm.D. Candidate 2026

Vian Khoury is a 4th-year pharmacy student with a strong passion for patient care and medication management. With experience in clinical and community pharmacy settings, she is dedicated to optimizing drug therapy and improving health outcomes. Vian is actively involved in professional organizations and stays up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field.
Shadawn Henderson, Pharm.D. Candidate 2028
Social Media & Communications Student Co-Chair
Shadawn Henderson is a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) candidate at Marshall B. Ketchum University in Fullerton, California, with an anticipated graduation in 2028. She holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Science from California Baptist University and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science and is a licensed Intern Pharmacist with the California Board of Pharmacy. Shadawn is actively involved in pharmacy advocacy as a delegate for the Greater Los Angeles Pharmacists Association to the California Pharmacists Association and serves as a Student Ambassador for Marshall B. Ketchum University and Ambition into Action. Her background includes community pharmacy, clinical research, and behavioral health services, and she previously supported research in the emergency department at Children’s Hospital of Orange County. Shadawn is also a published author of several books and scholarly publications and is passionate about advancing pharmacy practice and supporting underserved communities.
Kevin Doan, Pharm.D.
Hospitality Chair
Dr. Kevin Doan earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from Keck Graduate Institute School of Pharmacy with a Medication Therapy Outcomes certificate. He is currently completing a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at UC Irvine Health. His pharmacy interests include critical care, infectious diseases, and psychiatry. Dr. Doan is dedicated to collaborating with his Hospitality Co-Chair, Giovanni Leon, in organizing an exceptional banquet that brings together new and returning members, celebrates their outstanding achievements, and explores new opportunities to advance pharmacy practice. During his free time, he immerses himself in playing the piano, lifting weights, and playing video games.
Paris Marabut, Pharm.D. Candidate 2029
Hospitality Student Co-Chair
Paris Marabut is a first-year Pharm.D. candidate at Marshall B. Ketchum University College of Pharmacy. She is passionate about leadership, collaboration, and creating meaningful experiences that bring the pharmacy community together. As a Hospitality Student Co-Chair for OCSHP, Paris works alongside the hospitality team to help organize events that celebrate member achievements, strengthen professional connections, and foster engagement within the organization. In her spare time, Paris has a love for Polynesian dancing and performs at luaus, where she enjoys creating memorable experiences for children by cosplaying characters such as Moana and Lilo.
Matthew Ghilarducci, Pharm.D. Candidate 2026
Hospitality Student Co-Chair
Matthew Ernest Ghilarducci is a pharmacy student actively involved in professional organizations and student leadership. He previously served on the Social Committee for the Orange County Pharmacists Association (OCPhA), where he helped organize the annual banquet and the Wine and Cheese Social held in the fall. Through these experiences, Matthew developed an interest in planning events that foster connection, engagement, and professional community among pharmacy students and practitioners.
Matthew is passionate about creating opportunities for students and pharmacists to build meaningful relationships while supporting wellness and balance during demanding academic and professional training. As a Co-Chair of the Hospitality Committee for OCSHP, he hopes to help organize engaging events such as mixers that connect pharmacy students, interns, and residency program leaders, allowing early networking and professional development within the local pharmacy community.
Tiffany Jan, Pharm.D.

Dr. Tiffany Jan earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the USC Alfred E. Mann School of Pharmacy, with a concentration in Health Systems and Care Management. She is currently completing a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at UC Irvine Health, where she is gaining experience in diverse pharmacy settings. Tiffany also serves as one of the Continuing Education Chairs for OCSHP, collaborating with Dr. Tess Stonecypher. She is committed to advancing pharmacy education and professional development through high-quality continuing education programs.

Dr. Tess Stonecypher earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from MCPHS University in Boston and spent a decade gaining invaluable experience in various outpatient settings. Seeking to deepen her clinical expertise, she pursued a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at UCI Health, where she honed her ability to manage complex patient cases and contribute meaningfully to the pharmacy team. As a Co-CE Coordinator, alongside Dr. Tiffany Jan, Dr. Stonecypher is committed to curating engaging and insightful speakers who inspire, educate, and contribute to our collective professional growth.

Membership Student Co-Chair
Sally Pham is a second year Pharm.D. candidate at the University of California, Irvine School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences. She currently serves as the Professional Affairs Chair for the Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists (SSHP) at UCI, where she organizes professional development events that connects students with pharmacists and residents across diverse practice settings. She also serves as a student representative on her school’s PharmD Education Committee, contributing the student perspective to discussions on pharmacy education curriculum. Through these experiences, Sally is passionate about creating meaningful opportunities for student engagement and professional growth. She looks forward to working with OCSHP to help plan impactful events that strengthen connections among students, pharmacists, and technicians while expanding the organization’s reach to future pharmacy professionals.
Drake Dinh, Pharm.D., BCPS
Community Engagement Chair
Dr. Drake Dinh graduated from the UCSF School of Pharmacy in 2019. He completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency and PGY2 in Pharmacy Administration at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center. Dr. Dinh is currently the inpatient pharmacy manager at the new UCI Health – Irvine hospital. In his free time, he enjoys traveling across Asia with his wife, playing video games, and rooting for the Lakers!
Jen Kim, Pharm.D. Candidate 2026
Community Engagement Student Co-Chair
Chaeeun (Jen) Kim is a Pharm.D. candidate at Western University of Health Sciences College of Pharmacy. Jen served as Director of Community Service for two years within WesternU’s CSHP student chapter, where she led the planning and execution of health fairs and outreach initiatives. She also directed fundraising efforts and organized holiday gift drives in collaboration with multiple campus organizations, supporting underserved and vulnerable populations. Her leadership has focused on expanding the reach of pharmacy-driven community programs and fostering meaningful, service-oriented student involvement. She is passionate about advancing the role of pharmacists in community engagement and is eager to continue building impactful outreach initiatives through her work with OCSHP.
Hannah Manio, Pharm.D. Candidate 2026
Community Engagement Student Co-Chair
Hannah Manio is a Pharm.D. candidate at the University of California, Irvine School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She recently completed her term as Chair of Community Advocacy for her school’s Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists (SSHP) chapter, where she led and hosted a variety of outreach events. In this role, Manio and her committee collaborated with the Orange County Department of Public Health on tobacco cessation initiatives as well as the Boys & Girls Club of Tustin to provide educational health workshops. She is excited to work with OCSHP and continue integrating the pharmacy profession into the community.
Amanda Tran, Pharm.D., BCACP, APh, CDCES
Events Outreach & Public Relations Chair
Dr. Amanda Tran is an Assistant Professor at Marshall B. Ketchum University College of Pharmacy who joined the faculty in 2025. She earned her Pharm.D. from the University of California, San Francisco and completed two years of post-graduate residency training with a focus on ambulatory care and academia at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and University of Washington. Prior to her current role, Dr. Tran served as an Assistant Professor at Keck Graduate Institute School of Pharmacy and later held a full-time clinical position as a Diabetes Specialist at Hoag – Mary & Dick Allen Diabetes Center. Dr. Tran is an experienced ambulatory care pharmacist with a clinical focus on the management of chronic conditions. She is board certified in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy, holds recognition as an Advanced Practice Pharmacist, and is a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist.
Basant Mikhail, Pharm.D. Candidate 2026
Events Outreach & Public Relations Student Co-Chair
Basant Mikhail is a Pharm.D. candidate at the University of California, Irvine School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences. She previously served as the Professional Affairs Chair for the Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists (SSHP) at UCI, where she planned and promoted professional development programming, including pharmacy pathways events connecting students with pharmacists across diverse practice areas. She also prioritized initiatives focused on IPPE and conference preparations. Basant served as the Communications Officer for the Pharm.D. Class of 2027 Cabinet, overseeing class-wide communications and initiatives. She currently remains involved with SSHP at UCI as a regional student liaison. These experiences shaped—and continue to shape—her interest in outreach and communications, leading her to serve as the Public Relations Student Co-Chair for OCSHP.

Martin J. Torres, Pharm.D., FCSHP
Director-at-Large
Dr. Martin Torres received his PharmD degree from USC, completed a general medicine residency at LA County/USC Medical Center, and provided direct patient care as a critical care Pharmacist and Clinical Coordinator for seven years. As a Director of Pharmacy for 36 years, he has led teams in community medical centers and teaching hospitals, both in acute care and outpatient settings, to optimize patient safety initiatives, medication management systems, fiscal performance, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement programs across multiple transitions of care. He has served as President of OCSHP, Chair of the HOD for CSHP, delegate to ASHP, and a member of the ASHP Committee on Affiliate Relations. Dr. Torres is currently a member of the UC Irvine Pharmacy leadership team as the Director of Quality, Safety, Education, and Research with administrative responsibilities for the Medication Safety Program, Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee, Pharmacy PGY1 and PGY2 Residency Programs, IPPE and APPE Student Rotations, Technician Training Program and Investigational Drug Services.
Miriam Morkos, Pharm.D.

Dr. Miriam Morkos (or “Morkie” as her colleagues like to address her) received her Doctor of Pharmacy at Marshall B. Ketchum University (MBKU) as part of the inaugural class. She completed her PGY1 residency training at Desert Valley Hospital, and a PGY2 specialty residency in Infectious Diseases at LAC + USC Medical Center. As a student at MBKU, Dr. Morkos was very active in professional pharmacy organizations and held numerous leadership roles. She served as the Orange County Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (OCSHP) membership and founded the Middle Eastern Pharmacists Association. As a pharmacist she remains active within OCSHP, serving as OCSHP president in 2024 and currently as member of the Board of Directors.

She is currently a member of the Society for Infectious Diseases Pharmacists (SIDP) and the California Society of Health System Pharmacists. Herman Johannesmeyer, Pharm.D., BCPS

Dr. Herman Johannesmeyer received his Doctor of Pharmacy at the University of Arizona and went on to complete a two-year pharmacotherapy residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He is currently a Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, Irvine School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. His clinical interests include cardiology and infectious diseases. Herman’s research interests include the effects of antibiotic timing on clinical outcomes and implementation methods of preceptor development programming. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing music, and watching University of Arizona Sports!
